WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Embassy of Greece is pleased to present Dody Tsiantar’s photo exhibition “GLIMPSES OF GREECE: DOOR PORTRAITS.”
Journalist and retired Adjunct professor at Columbia University J School, DodyTsiantar, expresses her love for Greece through the lens of her iPhone! Her fascination with doorways began years ago on a visit to the Greek island of Santorini where she noticed a bright red door that stood out against the sea and bright whiteishland houses. It was therethat the magical journey of capturing this unique part of Greece’s beauty began.
To Dody Tsiantar, doors represent a promise of opportunities, mystery, and even, secrets. You cannot help but wonder what has transpired behind them once or what we will find once we open them. It could be a warm welcome, something new, or even challenging. Or opening a door could possibly reveal something familiar but long forgotten. Every door holds a unique possibility and story.
The photo exhibition “GLIMPSES OF GREECE: DOOR PORTRAITS” will be on view at the Embassy of Greece on weekdays from May 11 to June 15, 2023 (11:00am to 3:00pm).

Address:  Embassy of Greece, 2217 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Washington, DC
