EU-US Organic Trade Agreement event (Capitoll Hill, May 10th, 2012)

To celebrate the first EU-US Organic Trade Agreement, signed on February 15th, 2012, the Delegation of the European Union in cooperation with the US Congress organized an event in Capitol Hill on May 10, 2012.
This organic lunch event brought together representatives of the European Union, Congress, American and European organic trade companies and organizations, and other leaders in the organic food movement. Speakers included Kathleen A. Merrigan, Deputy Secretary of Agriculture, Ambassador Joao Vale de Almeida, Head of the EU Delegation, Ambassador Isi Siddiqui from the USTR and Representative Sam Farr, D-CA.
Greece participated with FoodMatch Inc (www.foodmatch.com) by presenting the famous Kalamata olives and spreads (Organic Divina).
