Exhibition Transition to Christianity. Art of late antiquity: 3rd–7th century AD

The exhibition entitled "Transition to Christianity. Art of late antiquity, 3rd – 7th century AD," hosted by the Cultural Center of Alexander Onassis Foundation in Manhattan, NYC, characterized by Wall Street Journal’s report  as one of the most important events this year with unique exhibits that have been amassing growing interest among visitors.

The exhibition brings together 170 historical objects and artifacts. Many of these are exhibited abroad for the first time while others are recent findings that have never been viewed publically as of yet.  According to the report, the exhibits reveal the magnitude of the creativity of Late Antiquity, the gradual transition to a new social, political, and religious reality.

The exhibition is organized according to seven different themes and is open to open to the public until May 2012.
