Information required for military recruitment purposes

All male Greek citizens born in 1996 are requested to present themselves to the Armed Forces Department of the Consulate General of Greece in New York, between January 2nd and March 31st , 2014 in order to submit required information regarding national military service, such as address, telephone number, level of education, etc.

The information can be submitted, by appointment only, either by the individual himself or his parents.

All applicants should provide a certificate of male registry from a municipality in Greece. A Greek ID or a passport should also be presented (not US driving license).

Please note that a fine will be imposed on any individual that fails to submit the required information by the March 31th, 2014 deadline.
