Public Diplomacy Office

The Public Diplomacy Office in Washington D.C. is responsible for exercising the Public Diplomacy of the Embassy of Greece.

In this context, in cooperation with the other Embassy’s sections, the Public Diplomacy Office:

-Provides information and answers questions about the policy of the Greek Government and other governmental entities, coming from the media, the public opinion makers and the general public.

-Informs the Greek Public Administration on Greek interest issues, based on information published by the U.S. Public Administration, the think tanks, the media and other entities in the U.S.

- Manages the media requests for Greek officials’ interviews and statements.

-Facilitates the Greek and Greek Diaspora’s media, active in the U.S., in their contacts with the U.S. Public Administration.

-Manages the Embassy’s Social Media and publishes the Embassy’s Newsletters and Press Releases.

-In the context of its responsibilities, cooperates with public and private entities in the U.S. in order to promote the interests and the public image of Greece.

Αpart from the Public Diplomacy Office in Washington D.C., the Hellenic Republic also has Public Diplomacy Offices in New York and Los Angeles.
