Depending on the duration and purpose of your journey to Greece, you may apply for a short-term “Schengen visa” or a long-term “national visa” for a stay of longer than 90 days.

Visa applicants need to appear in person in order to submit their application. Visa applications are received by e-appointment system only. No appointment can be scheduled by email or phone. We invite visa applicants to schedule their appointment using our on-line system as early as possible, especially during peak season (May through September).

The Consulate General of Greece is open to the public, Monday to Friday, except holidays, from 09.00 am to 2.30 pm.

The States of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut are within the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of Greece in New York.

Kindly note, that holders of U.S. Diplomatic and Official Passports need a Schengen Visa in order to visit Greece.
